Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations of the Financial Control department.
Main Responsibilities:

Receive and verify invoices for goods/services and staff claims to ensure that they contain relevant support documents before assigning them to Finance Analysts and Senior Finance Analysts for payment process.
Maintain registers for incoming invoices/claims, invoices/claims sent to user departments, Payment Check Requests received from user departments and documents returned to user departments.
Track movement of invoices/payments through Service Manager Max/P2P system from when the invoice is received/pushed to Finance till when it is paid. This includes constant follow-up on pending documents and giving feedback to Line Manager on pending invoices which are in user departments for verification.
Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient operation of the department such as monitoring and ordering of the stationery, raising purchase requisitions, managing courier services, co-ordination of finance department meetings and other administrative support deemed fit for delivery of the Financial Control strategy.
Work closely with the Finance Analyst, Senior Finance Analyst, Managers and Senior managers to develop budget and strategy for the Financial Control department.
Perform trend analysis of the bank’s expenses and report to the line manager.
Monitor/Track actual department’s expenses against the approved budget and purchase orders, etc.
Ensure timely resolution of queries and complaints as per the agreed Turnaround Time.
Perform any other duties related to finance and control as may be assigned from time to time by the line manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of Finance administration and accounting procedures.
Accounting, presentation, communication, analytical and Computer skills

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics or related fields.
At least 3 years’ working experience in Finance administration.
