Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Chef at EastPoint Hotel Moshi located in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The Assistant Chef will assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and plating dishes. The role also involves maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ensuring food safety practices are followed, and helping with menu planning and recipe development. Additionally, the Assistant Chef will support inventory management, stock ordering, and staff training.

Proficiency in meal preparation, cooking, and platingKnowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practicesExperience in menu planning and recipe developmentInventory management and stock ordering skillsEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPrevious experience in a professional kitchen is preferredCulinary certificate or relevant certification is advantageous
