Role Description

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring and controlling project and operational costs to ensure budget adherence. This role involves preparing cost reports, analyzing variances, and providing cost forecasting to support financial efficiency and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial

• To ensure that resort operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest, proactively managing costs based on key performance indicators.

Operational

Must be familiar with accounts procedures.

• Apply and ensure application of procedures and regulations concerning the cost control.

• According to instructions, implement the appropriate means to ensure the cost control is done correctly.

• Make any suggestions to finance manager, which will improve the work of the cost control.

• Monitors costs, prepares reports and is able to explain the results of analysis.

• Determine and analyze causes and sources of variances.

• Establish and maintain effective employee Relation.

• Ensure all purchase requisition are received from Purchase Manager and Stores.

• Agree all prices on supplier invoices to purchase requisition or the master price list from accounts department.

• Ensure each supplier invoice has a purchase order number and a receiving document number.

• Return all invoices to purchase manager, when the quoted price does not agree to the suppliers invoice.

• Updates and distributes purchase price comparisons and sales statistics as required.

• Provide and distribute monthly reports to the management explaining the numbers and background of deviations.

• Verify posting by receiving agent and store team.

• Review bar stock in coordination with F&B Department.

• Assisting inventory taking for F&B, general supplies and operating equipment.

• Performs menus costing and recipes costing when required.

• Identifies and organizes adequate storage for all perpetual inventory items.

• Conduct End of month inventory/report.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost control or financial analysis, preferably within the hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of Excel is the must
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to details
  • MC system knowledge – big advantage
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
