SUMET is a fast-growing Tech-enabled distribution company transforming the process of new product launches, building credit scoring to provide BNPL to retailers and wholesalers.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Specialist at SUMET in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for various day-to-day HR tasks including HR & Admn management, implementing HR policies, managing employee benefits, and personnel management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages
- Administer health insurance programs
- Implement training and development plans
- Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions and rewards management.
- Inform employees about additional benefits they’re eligible for (e.g extra overtime)
- Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
- Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Forecast hiring needs and ensure the end to end recruitment process runs smoothly
- Develop, review and implement HR policies throughout the organization
- Monitor budgets by department
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Administration of all company activities.
- Onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
Qualifications
- Human Resources (HR) and Personnel Management skills
- +5 years of experience in HR.
- Working in the FMCG sector is preferred
- HR Management and HR Policies knowledge
- Experience in managing employee benefits
- Good understanding of labor laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Relevant HR certifications or degrees in Human Resources or a related field
